Trinity Sports Camp - Trinity Client Stories

Trinity Client, Jim Insley

Meet Jim Insley, A dedicated runner who by using the Trinity system found out how deep his passion for running could go when he was no longer inhibited by pain symptoms.

Casual joggers and  elite  runners will both experience the same discovery
that I made about Scott’s training program. They will discover that his unique insights
produce training that  injury proofs them, and prepares their muscles and
nerves to perform at a higher level. I found age related limitations disappearing.

My original goal in meeting Scott was not that lofty.  I wished to avoid the constantly
reoccurring running injuries,  and recover enough that  I could  enjoy running again.
The initial progress was gradual as we worked through years of problems, but was
dramatic enough to soon rekindle an old dream of racing a marathon. With an expanded
program from Scott, I developed a difficult 12 week training program and ran a
3h14m Eugene Marathon. The injury free racing  experience left me ready for more.

Currently as a result of his program  I am now on my 4th marathon with a goal to
be solidly under 3 hours. I am a 53 year old master runner with ordinary running skills.
I never progressed beyond casual running as I would chronically become injured after
20 mile a weeks.  Prior to this I had researched and tried many things to prevent
these injuries. I have now progressed to running 60 mile weeks with 9 or 10 miles of speed
work and tempo running. Rather then fearing the injury risk in the short 5K and 10K
speed races, I have the confidence to  incorporate these races into my training program.

I am confident that I would not have been able to handle the distance or the speed
without the foundation from his training program. I have seen large improvements
in my age related loss of range of motion and balance. The training rebalanced my body,
reactivated dormant muscles, and over time has allowed me to improve my form.
Building in the injury prevention this way provides the opportunities to let the muscles
respond to the stimulus of the workouts and build more speed into their system.
The neuro-muscular stimulus of the training is coordinated to prepare the entire
muscle to be ready for use when called upon.

My interactions with Scott and his team have shown them to be innovative, thoughtful
and caring. As I see the many problems battled by runners around me, I wish more
would follow my advice to visit Scott and realize how much better running can be.
